Quote of the Day

“Early in the season, there was a game when Kyle [Orton] got hurt and the coaches were calling for me to go in, but Kyle got up and finished the game out. So I was the second-string guy.  Then, a few weeks later, they decided to put Tim in.  I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that.  Just ’cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I didn’t have any billboards.  That would have been nice.”

-Brady Quinn, Denver Broncos’ back-up quarterback

HATE HATE HATE HATE!  Brady Quinn vs. Tim Tebow hate?? Hoo boy, Christmas came early this year.  Right handed scrub QB vs. left handed more famous scrub QB.  Who ya got?

I can’t speak for anyone else, but this is easy to me.  Gotta go with Brady Quinn.  The guy is a total bust, on his last legs in Denver, probably keeps a pistol under his bed just in case he finally gets brave enough to end it all one night.  And who’s the guy who robbed him of his last shot at glory?  Tim Tevirgin.  (OK, not the most clever name I’ve ever come up with.)  That kind of hate can’t be faked.  And let’s face it, it takes a special level of hatred for someone to hate on a guy who promotes abstinence and spends all day with pediatric cancer patients to brighten their day.  Even Ice-T would have trouble hating on that.

UPDATE:  Oh look, suddenly Brady says he didn’t mean it.  Yawn.
